Background
Our client in Stockport required a comprehensive redevelopment of their yard to enhance operational efficiency and safety. The project involved upgrading key infrastructure to support their growing business needs, including new concrete slabs, improved drainage systems to handle increased capacity, and the installation of a weighbridge. Ensuring minimal disruption during operations was critical, as the yard remained active throughout the 12-month project.
Outcome
PKB Civils successfully completed the redevelopment in carefully planned phases, adhering to a one-way system that prioritised site safety and maintained smooth operations. The new concrete slabs provide a durable, low-maintenance surface for heavy vehicles, while the upgraded drainage system ensures the yard can manage high water volumes effectively. The new weighbridge offers improved accuracy and efficiency for daily operations. Delivered on time and with safety at the forefront, the project has significantly improved Elsa Recycling’s capacity and operational flow.
