The client needed a yard expansion that could be delivered without interfering with day-to-day operations. The site itself presented a challenge: active, high-traffic, and space-limited — with no easy margins for error. From the outset, our priority was clear: maintain site safety, minimise disruption, and deliver a result that met the client’s operational needs.
Our approach started with detailed planning. Every movement on-site was coordinated around the client’s workflow to avoid any bottlenecks or disruption to deliveries. We installed reinforced concrete foundations designed for heavy-duty industrial use, handled all drainage adjustments, and constructed new access roads to improve internal logistics.
The standout element? Seamless yard concreting in Bolton, carried out phase by phase to ensure the client stayed operational throughout. By managing everything in-house — from prep to pour — we gave the client full confidence that safety and quality standards wouldn’t be compromised.
The result was a newly extended, fully functional yard area that unlocked the extra space the client needed — all without slowing production.
Scope:
Earthworks, breaking out existing concrete, install new drainage systems including a separator tank, new lighting towers, 200mm thick reinforced concrete slabs with A252 mesh across the whole extended yard.
