External Groundworks for a Modular Building in Atherton

PKB Civils were appointed to deliver all modular building groundworks at a site in Atherton, preparing the ground fully ahead of the building being craned into position. With a two-week programme in place, every element of the enabling works needed to be planned, sequenced and delivered without delay to keep the crane installation on track.

The scope covered installation of the foundation pads to receive the modular structure, drainage connections, electrical trenching across the site and concrete skirting works to the building perimeter. Access ramps were installed both before the crane lift and finished off after the building was in position, ensuring the structure was accessible and compliant from handover. All modular building groundworks were sequenced carefully around the crane programme so the installation team had a clean, fully prepared site to work from.

The full enabling groundworks package was completed on programme across the two weeks. PKB Civils handled every element of the external civils scope, from initial ground preparation through to finished access works, delivering the site ready for the modular building to be installed and commissioned without interruption.
