Industrial Yard Refurbishment In Scunthorpe

This steel manufacturer in Scunthorpe needed to expand their crane capacity. To create the space required for an external crane system, parts of the existing building structure had to come down first. PKB Civils were brought in to deliver the full package of external groundworks to make that happen.

We demolished the relevant sections of the building, cleared the site and prepared the ground for the new pile positions. Once the piles were in, we installed 500m² of new concrete slabs across the external area, then installed the steel beam onto the piles to form the crane runway structure. We finished by shuttering off the end of the internal building, leaving the site fully prepared for the crane installation to follow. PKB Civils handled all external groundworks from demolition through to handover, delivering a clean, correctly sequenced programme on a live industrial site.
