Yard Concrete Repairs in Sunderland

PKB Civils carried out recycling yard concrete repairs across a busy operational site in Sunderland, completing the full programme with no downtime for the client. The yard had suffered deterioration across multiple areas and required a durable, long-term solution capable of standing up to the demands of a high-activity recycling environment.

The works involved concrete repairs across the site, with up to 700m² of new concrete poured and reinforced with steel mesh throughout. Visqueen membrane was installed as part of the slab build-up across the yard to provide a robust, long-term solution suited to the conditions of a working recycling facility. The specification was chosen to ensure the recycling yard concrete repairs would perform reliably under constant vehicle and plant loading well into the future.

The three-week programme was delivered in full without any interruption to site operations. PKB managed the works around the client’s day to day activity, ensuring vehicles, plant and personnel could continue working safely at all times.
